Game players under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult! New members must fill out a profile when applying to Boardgames NJ This meetup is held at the Shoprite along Hwy 22 in Branchburg. We meet in the food court tables, which is hidden in the far back by the deli. This will be on the left side in the far back when you enter Shoprite. It's our Monday Game Night! Join us to play a variety of Euro games! Games will vary depending upon what members decide to bring. If you want to play something specific, bring it with you or request it in your RSVP. Beginners and experts alike are welcome. Gaming starts at 6:00 p.m. and usually ends close to 11:00 p.m. (closing time). Most of the regulars never RSVP, so even if it looks like only a few people are coming we always have enough people to play a few games (usually 10-12 people).
We mostly play heavy and medium Euros such as SETI, Brass: Burmingham, Great West Trail. We are a flexible group, therefore we adjust the time based on the availability of everyone who wants to attend. We use Discord to discuss what games to play, when the meetup happens and manage the RSVP. Be sure to join our Discord server. Learning the rules before the meetup is recommended but not required.
The Bearded Dragon is excited to host our local board game community for an open night of free tabletop gaming! Players are welcome to arrive anytime during free play hours, though we recommend getting to the store by 7:00 PM to help groups coordinate games. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a classic hobby with friends and family or meet new people within the local gaming community. There is no formal tournament structure or weekly staff-run event. Just show up, find a game, and play! Bring your own games or try one of the many titles available in our store and playroom. Our playroom features a large wall of free-to-play board games available for guests to enjoy during the event, and we also carry over 600 board game titles in-store for anyone looking to browse, discover something new, or expand their collection. We highly recommend joining our Discord and posting your Wednesday availability in the board game section along with any games you’d like to bring or try at the store. This helps players coordinate groups and set up games ahead of time. Join the Beared Dragon Discord
